i never said that kelly was going to win a state championship this season and neither did i say that they were not going to get beat by any team n the lpd...i just said i dont see it happining..like i said b4 we will just have to wait and see..i just look foward to watching a lot of baseball in the lpd this year..it should b a good season

Well hopefully I will be able to take in some games on my kids off days. Its been along time since I have seen GC play ball...seems their program is much better than it was back in my day.

yeah i agree with tom on this one. these programs are typically the best programs in region d year in and year out. it's possible for another team to sneek into the region d tourney though. that's why we play the season. kelly, castlewood, and honaker were young last year. all 3 made the region d tourney. gate city was young too. haysi lost almost everything. thomas walker can at least finish 2nd in their district. let's just stop with the kelly crowning at least until the season starts. practice doesn't even begin for another 3 weeks i think. i think pv and burton will be much improved from last year. is jim kelly still the coach down in the valley? i liked the young honaker team last year. they played a pretty decent first round regional game and also beat haysi too near the end of the season. haysi went on to win the region. this could be one of those seasons that almost anybody can win it. for the record though, i like kelly, castlewood, and honaker as district champs.

pound got another new coach after sturgill resigned....chris wilson graduate of J.J. Kelly high school seems to know the game very well and hopefully him and not to mention the many more players that will be coming out this year for him should help pound and maybe they will do better then a 4-16 record..........and as for the matter about GC being at top yes i agree they should be the favorite until prooved other wise but i did hear that wise beat them this summer everytime by atleast 10 or 11 runs but that doesn't mean that much since it was just summer

The only thing that worries me about my TW boys is they sorta have a history of having really talented teams that seem to crumble down the stretch. Hopefully that won't happen this year.
